Strategic Planning
Shaping UBC’s Next Century
UBC’s strategic plan sets out the university’s collective vision, purpose, goals and strategies for the years ahead.
Aspire
The Aspire process was an exercise undertaken by the UBC Okanagan campus community to develop a long-term vision for the campus that would help guide UBC Okanagan into its second decade and beyond.
What emerged from the consultation was a consensus that the Okanagan campus should aspire to be a model of innovative and interdisciplinary programming within the UBC system, and a place that has an impact on communities both local and global.
The new UBC Strategic Plan incorporates the Aspire vision, and the final report is considered a foundational document for the Okanagan campus and UBC institutional planning. Learn more about the visioning process and results in the Aspire final report.
Campus Plan
Approved by the UBC Board of Governors in 2015, the Okanagan Campus Plan provides a planning framework for the infrastructure to support future academic and research activities, student housing, and associated campus services for the decades to come.
Outlook 2040 – shaping UBC Okanagan’s future
Building on the university’s strategic plan, Shaping UBC’s Next Century, the 2015 Campus Plan and Aspire, ongoing discussions are underway at UBC regarding the opportunity presented by the Okanagan campus and what needs to be done to set the campus on its long-term course toward even greater impact and service to the people and communities of British Columbia.
